Join Horizon Auto Logistics in Vance, AL – Operations Manager Horizon Auto Logistics is expanding its operations in Vance, Alabama, and we are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily yard operations, vehicle movement activities, and frontline operational execution within our automotive logistics environment. Position Overview: We are hiring a full-time Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee daily yard and vehicle receiving operations while directly supervising Team Leads and Drivers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, workforce coordination, compliance with safety procedures, and successful execution of client and company standards. The Operations Manager will act as a key operational leader by supporting productivity, monitoring workflow, resolving operational issues, and maintaining strong communication between frontline teams and site leadership. Multiple shifts may be available, and weekend availability may be required based on operational needs. Starting Pay: A/B/C Shifts: $24.00 per hour, plus attractive package of benefits. Assign work, monitor productivity, and ensure operational priorities are achieved. Coach employees and provide performance feedback and operational guidance. Oversee staffing levels, shift coordination, attendance, and workflow efficiency. Enforce safety rules, PPE requirements, and yard driving protocols. Conduct safety briefings, inspect work areas, and support incident investigations. Ensure all operational tasks meet client expectations and Horizon standards. Review operational logs, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance. Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiencies. Coordinate with HR, Safety, and Operations leadership on workforce and operational matters. Maintain daily operational records, productivity tracking, and incident reporting. What We’re Looking For High school diploma required; associate degree preferred. 3–5 years of experience in yard operations, logistics, automotive movement, or similar environments. Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage teams in fast-paced operational environments. High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions. Valid driver’s license with no more than three moving violations within the last three years. Experience in industrial or automotive environments is a plus. Why Join Us?
