Position Overview The Accounting & Billing Specialist is responsible for supporting financial recordkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and customer billing activities related to operational services. This role partners with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely invoicing. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial processes in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing processes. Reconcile payroll-related and operational accounts. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Prepare and issue customer invoices based on operational activity and supporting documentation. Partner with Operations to validate service data prior to invoicing. Track outstanding invoices and follow up on collections as needed. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies. Support preparation of financial reports and documentation. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and company policies. Maintain proper documentation for audits and financial reviews. Assist with internal and external audits as required. Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy and efficiency. Support automation and system improvements within ERP (NetSuite preferred). Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 3–5 years of experience in accounting, billing, or financial administration. Strong understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries). Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred). Advanced Excel skills and financial data analysis capability. Skills:
