Position Summary The Digital Transformation Manager will champion the adoption of advanced digital solutions to achieve higher standards of safety, productivity, and efficiency, in alignment with Horizon Auto Logistics’ strategic goals. This role involves leveraging technology to enhance operational capabilities, analysing current technologies and processes, designing impactful digital solutions, and leading transformation projects. The manager will integrate automation and analytics to improve workflows and drive decision-making, ensuring that digital initiatives align pragmatically with business needs and enhance both operational outcomes and employee engagement. Job purpose and objectives The main purpose of the Digital Transformation Manager role is to lead and manage the integration of digital technologies across Horizon Auto Logistics, driving improvements in safety, productivity, and efficiency while ensuring the alignment of these initiatives with the company's strategic goals. Core duties and strategic responsibilities Strategic Planning and Implementation: • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the overarching business objectives of Horizon Auto Logistics. • Championing innovative digital transformation projects that contribute to improved safety, productivity, and efficiency. • Ensure the scalability and sustainability of digital solutions across global operations. • Outcome: Successfully implement at least three major digital transformation projects per year that contribute to improvement in productivity and safety. Technology Integration and Automation: • Identify opportunities to apply advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and machine learning to optimize workflows. • Lead the automation of key processes to reduce manual intervention and error, increasing operational reliability. • Outcome: Reduce manual process intervention through automation within the first 18 months. Data Analytics and Decision Support: • Implement robust analytics frameworks to capture and analyze data across various operational touchpoints. • Outcome: Provide actionable insights and predictive analytics to senior management, facilitating data-driven decision-making. Project Management and Resource Allocation: • Oversee the project lifecycle of digital initiatives, from ideation through to deployment and review. • Manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within cost constraints. • Outcome: Deliver all digital projects within the allocated budget and timeline with at least a 90% project satisfaction rate. Manage Digital Tools & Software Development: • Oversee the company's ERP system and Microsoft 365 suite, ensuring efficient use, integration, and continuous improvement. • Lead and support the IT team, providing guidance, prioritizing tasks, and fostering a proactive approach to system optimization and user support. • Manage the software factory for the development of new functionalities, coordinating requirements, prioritizing projects, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery • Outcome: Enhance system efficiency and user satisfaction through continuous improvements and upgrades. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive the adoption of digital initiatives. • Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of digital projects. • Outcome: Achieve a stakeholder satisfaction rate of over 85% regarding the clarity and impact of digital transformation initiatives. Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement: • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital transformation efforts. • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. • Outcome: Establish and achieve digital transformation KPIs that lead to a continuous improvement cycle impacting business outcomes annually. Education and Work Experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or a related field. • Proven track record in managing digital transformation in a start-up logistics or similar industry. • Strong understanding of automation, data analytics, and digital tools. • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred. • Substantial experience in managing IT infrastructure, preferably within a Port, Maritime, or Logistics environment.


Skills:

Key competencies, skills and attributes • Proven leadership experience in IT, technology innovation, or product development within a SaaS or similar environment. • Demonstrated ability to lead the planning, development, and execution of strategic IT initiatives that align with organizational goals. • Extensive knowledge in network architecture, cloud computing, data center management, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, and logistics software, with experience using Business Intelligence tools like Power BI. • Demonstrated experience with emerging technologies, particularly AI and RPA. • Strategic and tactical thinker capable of translating business objectives into technology initiatives. • Excellent communication abilities with a proven track record of analyzing complex technical information to make strategic decisions and lead teams effectively. • Experience in building and scaling IT infrastructure within rapidly growing organizations. • Advanced knowledge of business planning, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity practices. • Proficient in risk mitigation and data security of digital assets.
