Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting yard operations by ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating vehicle movements, and maintaining data within the logistics system. This position ensures that all administrative and logistical processes are performed accurately, timely, and in compliance with customer and company standards. The role is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of vehicles through the yard and onward to their destination. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains and updates the logistics system with vehicle movements, status updates, and inventory information. Ensures that SGT is kept updated on a regular basis with LSP details, such has Carriers Companies, Fleet details and Drivers. Prepares, verifies, and files transportation and delivery documents (e.g., Gate passes, bill of lading, delivery receipts, shipping orders). Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments of vehicles with carriers, internal teams, and customers. Ensures the Box quality control is checked daily and ensure all discrepancies are rectified. Ensures all POC’s are sent to the customer daily. Monitors yard inventory and report discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. Supports the Logistics Planner with the scheduling and tracking of vehicle deliveries and collections. Liaise with carriers, dispatchers, and drivers to ensure all required documents are provided and signed and escalates any discrepancies to the Logistics Planner. Assists with vehicle inspections and record-keeping related to damages or exceptions and ensures that SGT is updated accordingly with pictures of such damages. Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures. Supports reporting and data analysis tasks as needed by the Yard Supervisor/Planner or Logistics Manager. Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the yard’s logistics processes. Track Veridot/Datadot fitments including any additional fitments and ensure that SGT and Enatis systems are updated. Any discrepancies should be reported to the Planner/Ops Manager. Carries out any reasonable and lawful instructions given by the Logistics Planner/Yard Supervisor. Requirements: Education and/or Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or similar environments preferred. Experience with operational systems, yard management systems, or transportation management systems (preferred). Should have knowledge of DOT rules and regulations Proficiency in English


Skills:

Advanced computer skills: familiarity with logistics or inventory systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of logistics documentation and handling processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of logistics systems / WMS / yard management systems: Familiarity with platforms used for tracking inventory and vehicle movements is highly valuable. Understanding of transportation and freight documentation: Ability to manage and interpret documents like shipping instructions, bills of lading, and customs forms. Inventory control and tracking experience: Ability to monitor stock levels, reconcile physical inventory with system records, and identify discrepancies.
